Curacao, with its beautiful beaches, has a program called @HOME in Curaçao that allows you to stay for 6 months and extend for another 6 months.
The program costs US$294 per person and you must have health insurance to cover COVID-19 during your stay
Income tax exemption for stays under this program
Visa processing time is about 2 weeks
Things necessary
- Application form
- Proof of payment of application fee
- Copy of passport
- Insurance to cover while traveling
- Proof of solvency such as contracts
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- Appendix D (Proof of Payment)
General comment
Unlike other Caribbean countries, Curacao is outside the hurricane zone, so it is a big advantage that even Japanese who have become typhoons can live with peace of mind.
Also, the application fee is low, so it has a big advantage.
The point is also high that it is a multicultural country that speaks English, Spanish and Dutch.
It takes about 9 hours by direct flight from Amsterdam, so I think it will be that difficult for those traveling from Europe.
