WWith a relaxed lifestyle, beaches, volcanoes, waterfalls and jungle scenery perfect for surfing and sunbathing, Costa Rica has a stay visa called Lentista, but on July 13th it approved a new nomadic visa.Presidential signature was signed on August 11th
This visa is valid (renewable) for one year and is free of income tax and social security burdens.
You have the option of requesting an additional year extension, provided you have lived in Costa Rica for a year and stayed for a minimum of 180 days.
Requirements
- Foreigners who provide services remotely using computers, etc.
- Spouses and elderly people living together are also OK
- Prove a monthly income of $ 3,000 for the past year and $ 4,000 if you have a family
- Take out insurance that covers the period

General comment
The details of how to apply have not been released yet, but it is much easier than obtaining a visa called Rentista, and it is tax exempt (Lentista has a maximum of 25% and about 10% social security tax). Has a high point
It is possible to renew, but I am also concerned about the visa fee, whether it is possible to obtain permanent residence in 5 years.
